Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC) have arranged protests around the country against the planned cuts to disability benefits in the Spring statement by the government.

I am very concerned about the cuts that are planned.  While I don’t doubt the government’s intention to support people back into work.  Removing the financial support that enables so many of us to be independent and work is not that answer.  It feels like the early 2000’s and the austerity of the 2010’s.  It’s hard not to feel like disabled people are once again being used to prop up the country’s economy and pay for economic incompetence.
